Champions League Playoff is Back

The Champions League playoff is here and with a few big clubs colliding, you won’t want to miss a minute of the action.

Arsenal will travel to Istanbul to take on Besiktas and their newly acquired striker Demba Ba. Arsenal have played in to the champions league in several of the last years including defeating Udinese in 2 legs and are no strangers to this part of the competition. With key acquisitions of Debuchy strengthening and upgrading the defensive line, adding Alexis Sanchez who is one of the deadliest goal scorers in club football and several other additions, Arsenal will be heavy favorites to progress. No news of Mesut Ozil and his race to be fit for the new season to play in todays’ match but with the likes of Ramsey, Cazorla, Wilshire and the deep Arsenal midfield roster ready to pounce, I predict a solid away display.

Another key match up and probably the closest tie will be between Napoli & Athletic Club Bilbao. Napoli boasts one of the deadliest attacks in the Serie A with the likes of Mertens, Insigne, Higuain, Callejon and Hamsik. Athletic Bilbao may not have as deep or star studded squad but have always played as more than a sum of their parts. Iturraspe had a breakout season and will look to other key players like Munain and Susaeta to help get a first leg result in Naples.
