Iceland score 1st historic goal in a Major Tournament

It was a moment of brilliance from Bjarnason that saw Iceland not only score their first goal in a Major Tournament but saw them draw level and get a very important point against group favorites Iceland.

Iceland’s golden generation which saw them win their group in qualifying gave their country a night to remember in a match that looked all like a formality for Portugal. Portugal dominated much of the possession and after Nani’s goal through creative play on the right side from Valencia’s Andre Gomes, who for me was Portugal’s best player, it looked like their would be a few more for the Iberian nation.

Ronaldo had a pretty decent game creative wise but he did not put away the few chances he got in very uncharacteristic form.

Portugal now will have to win their next game or fear not winning their group with Hungary having a surprise win earlier today against Austria.
