Manchester City thrash Aston Villa, Title within sight

Manchester City need only 1 point from their match on Championship Sunday to lift their 2nd Premiership title in 3 years.
Dzeko opened the scoring up in the 64th minute with a slotted shot from a beautiful cross from Zabaleta. Aston Villa had held on for most of the match with a brick wall but squandered their effort from a blunder with poor defending that resulted in City’s first goal.

The Bosnian would add his 2nd in the 72nd minute and send the home crowd into pandemonium. Villa looked to finally threaten in the later stages of the game but were not able to convert. They would not stop there though as the substitute Jovetic would add a 3rd and Yaya Toure blasted in a final dagger and not leave any room for another dramatic comeback.

City now look to their final game on Sunday at home against a team in West Ham that they hammered in their earlier meeting in the season 3-1. It will take all but a miracle for Manchester to not be blue and celebrate one of the most competitive Barclay’s Premier League campaigns in years.
